NYPD on D-Block Public Safety
The D-block failed to reach the minimum bid in the FCC’s 700 MHz auction, in part due to mandatory public-safety features. Now major city agencies, including the NYPD, have published statements to the effect that no commercial network provider will be able to build a network that meets public-safety needs.
